Approaching to the outside of workshop of Yancheng Baoding Electric Tools Co., Ltd. in Yandu’s High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, the latest type of tabletop cutting machines await to be loaded. The national high-tech enterprise, transformed from a grinding wheel factory, was founded in 1998, which boasts annual sales exceeding $ 85 million, with orders fully reserved till June this year.

Jiangsu Yueda Textile Co., Ltd. is a green smart factory equipped with 100,000 spindles. It reduces staffs from 55 to 13 per 10,000 spindles, but boosts productivity by 20.39% and decreases energy consumption per unit by 10%. Jiangsu YDF Valve Co., Ltd. established a 5G smart factory, achieving digital production control and earning a recognition as a provincial green factory…

Traditional industries are the “foundation” of Yandu’s high-quality development. They once defined the district’s industrial glory and continue to drive its real economy. Thus, Yandu advances five priorities— “upgrading the outdated, improving product quality, pursuing green transitions, obsoleting backward products, and optimizing layouts—to forge new strengths in traditional industries.

From textile workshops to gear factories, smart production lines to zero-carbon parks, daily transformations are epitomes of new burgeoning forces, which bring the rebirth of Yandu’s traditional industries.
